Getting Started

Everything in this package runs directly in your web browser — there's nothing to install and no account to create.

  1. Unzip the downloaded package anywhere you like — a folder on your computer, a USB drive, or an offline machine.
  2. If a taskbar/launcher file is included, open it to launch any tool as a floating window. Otherwise, open a tool's .html file directly — any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) will run it.
  3. Each tool works completely on its own. You don't need to open them in any particular order, and closing one doesn't affect the others.
  4. Nothing you process with these tools is uploaded anywhere. Everything happens locally, on your device, in the browser tab itself.

Fingerprint

What it's for

Fingerprint creates a unique cryptographic "fingerprint" for a file. Save that fingerprint, and any time later you can check a copy of the file against it to confirm nothing has changed — even a single altered character or pixel will cause a mismatch.

Generating a fingerprint

  1. Make sure the Generate tab is selected at the top.
  2. Choose an algorithm: SHA-256 (the more common standard) or SHA-512 (a longer fingerprint, similar security). Either is fine — the important thing is using the same one later when you check the file.
  3. Drag up to 5 files into the box that says Drop up to 5 files here, or click to choose — or click it to open a file picker.
  4. Each file's fingerprint appears automatically underneath it. Click Copy fingerprint to copy one to your clipboard.
  5. To save fingerprints for all your files at once, click Download certificate (all files) — this saves a small text file listing every filename and its fingerprint.

Checking a file later

  1. Click the Verify tab.
  2. Drop in the file you want to check.
  3. Paste the fingerprint you saved earlier into the box under that file, then click Check.
  4. You'll see either a green confirmation that it matches, or a clear warning that it doesn't — meaning the file has changed since the fingerprint was made.

Good to know

  • You don't need to remember which algorithm you used — Verify detects it automatically from the length of the fingerprint you paste.
  • A fingerprint is only useful if you saved it somewhere separate from the file itself — if both are lost together, there's nothing to compare against.
  • Up to 5 files can be processed at once in either tab.

Scrub

What it's for

Photos often carry hidden data — GPS location, camera model, timestamps. Word and PDF documents carry hidden author names, company names, and edit history. Scrub finds and removes all of it, without changing how the photo looks or the document reads.

Cleaning a file

  1. Drop up to 5 files into the box — photos (JPEG, PNG, HEIC) and documents (DOCX, PDF) can be mixed together freely.
  2. For each file, Scrub immediately shows you what it found under Metadata found: — this might include a GPS location, camera details, author name, company, or edit dates.
  3. Click the button under a file (it will say Scrub this photo or Scrub this document) to remove what was found.
  4. Once cleaned, the panel changes to Originally contained (now removed from the download): so you still have a record of what used to be there, and a green confirmation appears.
  5. Click Download to save that one file, or Download all (.zip) to get every cleaned file in one go.

Good to know

  • If a file shows no metadata found, that's a good sign — there's nothing hidden to remove.
  • HEIC photos are converted to JPEG as part of cleaning, since that's a more universally supported format.
  • Only the hidden data is touched — the photo's appearance and the document's visible text are never altered.
⚖️

Clarify

What it's for

Clarify reads through a contract, lease, or Terms of Service and flags the wording patterns most worth paying attention to — things like arbitration clauses, automatic renewal, broad data-sharing language, and liability waivers — explained in plain language.

Checking a document

  1. Paste the full contract or Terms of Service text into the box labeled Contract or Terms of Service text.
  2. Click Scan for red flags.
  3. Each match appears as its own card, labeled High attention, Worth reading, or Good to know depending on how much it affects you, along with a plain-language explanation and the exact sentence that triggered it.

Good to know

  • Clarify looks for known common phrasings — it's a fast first pass, not a substitute for reading the whole document or consulting a lawyer for anything that really matters.
  • A document with no flags isn't necessarily risk-free; it just means nothing matched Clarify's current pattern library.
  • Nothing you paste in is sent anywhere — the scan happens entirely on your device.

A note about Burn

Burn — the Suite's one-time-view message sharing tool — isn't included in this offline package. Burn's entire design depends on a server holding an encrypted message until the single moment someone opens it, so without an internet connection it has nothing to talk to and simply wouldn't work. Rather than include a tool that can't function offline, Burn stays available for free on the live website whenever you have a connection.
